If your filter multi-port valve is leaking then your pool is losing pressure and water and the filter will not work as well as it should, this will result is poor circulation and poor water quality. When the pool has poor circulation this can damage major parts of your pool equipment such as the pump and heater due to a lack of water caused by air build up. You should always check the valves and connections to the pool equipment when you restart your pool for the summer. Remember prevention is better than a repair bill!
