Plast-Aid 2 Part Repair Compound. Available in 1.5oz and 6 oz.

Plast-aid makes your hot tub repairs and repairing other plastic items as easy as 1-2-3.

Plast-Aids unique 2-part liquid & powder acrylic compound begins to cure and thicken once mixed together and transforms from a castable liquid, to a glue, to a putty, to a molding clay. After 10 minutes it forms a hard, durable, waterproof acrylic plastic that can be sanded, drilled, or filed.

Unlike fibreglass or epoxy, it is friendly to handle. For cracked acrylic spa shells, Plast-aid can be pre-coloured with Artist Acrylic paints. Plast-aid will adhere to damp PVC fittings.

  • Permanent molecular bond.
  • Seals PVC leaks.
  • Repairs spa shell cracks.
  • Dries white. To colour, add Artist Acrylic paints (sorry, we don't supply).
  • Forms a permanent molecular bond to acrylic, PVC, polycarbonate, CPVC, ABS. Forms a strong mechanical bond to many other materials.

Product notes: Plast-Aid forms a permanent molecular bond to acrylic, PVC, polycarbonate, CPVC, ABS. Forms a strong mechanical bond to many other materials. Dries white when no colour is added.

Using Plast Aid to repair a crack on the surface of an acrylic hot tub.

Eventually the result was better than expected. Followed instruction as included and the How to video. On the first batch I was surprised at how fast the mix turned from runny to solid. It took 30 sec. By reducing the amount of fluid and mixing acrylic paint for color it took longer to harden. Giving more time to apply it correctly. New users must consider experimenting with a tiny batch to help eliminate waste.

Fixing chip in bathtub

It a good product. A little smelly and gets a bit of getting used to for the mixing.
